HAND PRINTED PRINT S/S SHIRTS

Open-collar shirt made of smooth cotton rayon fabric.
The striking all-over pattern is made using the hand-printing technique, with a motif of a shuttle used in old-fashioned power looms.
The open-collar design has a slitted square hem, and the buttons are transparent for spring and summer.
Enjoy the refreshing feeling of the light breeze passing through the shirt.

*What is hand-printing?
A traditional technique in which all printing processes are done by hand.
A block is made for each color, and the colors are layered on the fabric. Skilled techniques are required to create beautiful patterns.
We commissioned a company with the now rare Yokohama printing technique to produce the fabric.

滑らかなコットンレーヨン生地のオープンカラーシャツ。
インパクトのある総柄は旧式力織機で使用するシャトルをモチーフに手捺染（てなっせん）の技法で製作しました。

開放感のあるオープンカラーにスリットの入ったスクエアの裾、ボタンも透明感のある春夏仕様の物を選択。
シャツの中を軽やかに風が抜ける爽やかさをお楽しみください。

※手捺染とは？
捺染（＝プリント）の全ての工程を手作業で行う伝統的な技法。
1色ごとに版を作り、生地に色を重ねていきます。綺麗な柄を表現するには熟練の技術が必須です。
現在では希少となった横浜捺染の技術を持つ会社に生地製作を依頼しました。
